Three University of Alberta Faculty of Law student groups - OUTlaw (an advocacy group founded in 2008 to serve and aid LGBTI law students and their allies), the Tortfeasors hockey team, and the Golden Bearristers rugby team - came together to raise money for You Can Play, an organization committed to ensuring equality, respect, and safety for all athletes, without regard to sexual orientation. The groups channelled their collective creativity, organizational, and performance skills and hosted a drag show on February 25. Ticket sales from the show raised $1,500 for You Can Play and representatives from the groups presented the cheque to You Can Play representative Dr. Kris Wells at a screening of the film The Abominable Crime, featuring human rights activist and lawyer Maurice Tomlinson, for UAlberta Pride Week 2016 on March 10.
