On Sunday, March 6, University of Alberta Faculty of Law Dean Paul Paton hosted a welcome reception for Greater Toronto Area students admitted to the Faculty for the 2016-2017 academic year.

During his welcome address, he encouraged the students to begin their legal careers at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, citing the award-winning scholars and teachers, superb legal research, and extensive student services and extracurricular activities that make the Faculty such a vibrant place to study, work, and grow.

"When you join the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, you're entering a community more than 100 years in the making, with a distinguished tradition of learning the law and engaging in service to the community - locally, nationally, and internationally," said Dean Paton.

During the afternoon reception, students and their families had the opportunity to meet with Dean Paton, Career Services Officer Mandy Seidenberg, current students, and alumni to discuss the opportunities available at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law. We look forward to welcoming the students to our community in September.
