University of Alberta Faculty of Law Professor Rod Wood is presenting a paper on the Codification of Canadian Commercial Law at the International Academy of Commercial and Consumer Law in Fukuoka, Japan on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. His paper examines the problem of statutory obsolescence associated with the Victorian era codifications of sales law and negotiable instruments law, as well as the problem of non-uniformity associated with the codification of personal property security law.
