Professor Barbara Billingsley Cited in Supreme Court of Canada Decision

Professor Barbara Billingsley's treatise "General Principles of Canadian Insurance Law", published in its 2^nd edition by LexisNexis in 2014, was cited twice in a September 15, 2016 judgment from the Supreme Court of Canada in Ledcor Construction Ltd. v. Northbridge Indemnity Insurance Co. The case concerns the proper interpretation of a "faulty workmanship" exclusion in a builders' risk policy of insurance. The court relied on Professor Billingsley's text in explaining the use of standard form policies by the insurance industry.
