Law Show Celebrates 21 Years with 'Alice in Wonderlaw'

Proceeds from ticket sales and silent auction benefit Youth Empowerment & Support Services.

Law Communications - 7 February 2017

On February 3-4, 2017, Law Show celebrated 21 years with its presentation of 'Alice in Wonderlaw', starring UAlberta Law students Beth Warcholak, Tyler McDonough, and Robert Marquette. True to tradition, Law Show 2017 offered a humorous and satirical take on the law school experience.

This year, Law Show followed the adventures of 'Alice in Wonderlaw', a production based on Lewis Carroll's 1865 "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and drawing inspiration from 1872's follow-up, "Alice Through the Looking Glass."

Each year, more than 100 UAlberta Law students volunteer and hundreds of people attend the two-night production.

Proceeds from Law Show ticket sales and Saturday's silent auction go directly to a designated charity each year.

In 2015, Law Show began a three-year partnership with Youth Empowerment & Support Services (YESS), an Edmonton nonprofit that has provided youth in crisis with emergency shelter and support services since 1981.

UAlberta Law would like to thank everyone involved who made Law Show 2017 such a tremendous success.
