About

Established in 2000, in the Faculty of Nursing, University of Alberta, the Knowledge Utilization Studies Program (KUSP) is a funded health research unit focused on the development, dissemination, exchange and application of knowledge to improve health outcomes, provide more effective health services and strengthen the health care system. The overarching goals of KUSP are to develop knowledge translation theory and strategies to increase the use of research to improve quality of care, quality of life/end of life for the frail, vulnerable elderly in nursing home settings and quality of work life for their care providers. These goals are achieved by using a fully integrated KT model of research and governance.
