Student Connect

Student Connect is the Office of the Registrar's student service centre, and provides one point of contact for students seeking information and services.

While Student Connect is not able to take in-person inquiries or phone calls at this time, we are working hard to support you remotely. We'd encourage you to check out our FAQ page for important updates, and use the Student Connect Contact Form if you still have questions.

What We Do

The Student Connect student services team provides assistance in the areas of:

  • Transcripts, document requests, and changes to personal information (see Records).
  • Registering in courses and managing your enrollment (see Registration and Courses).
  • Information, advising, and other support.
  • Financial support including scholarships, awards, bursaries, and emergency funding (see Financial Support).
  • Preparing for graduation and convocation (see Convocation).

Important Notices

  • Student Connect Hours & Service
    Until further notice, Student Connect will not be taking in-person inquiries, appointments or phone calls until further notice. We are working remotely and will be able to answer questions submitted through the Student Connect Contact Form below during our business hours. Our current email response time is approximately 2-3 business days.
  • Registration for Fall 2020

    If you have accepted your offer of admission for Fall 2020 by filling out the "Reply to offer of admission" form on your Launchpad status page and have paid the tuition deposit (if required), please note that once your payment is received in BearTracks, it can take 3-4 business days for the payment to be applied to your account and for your registration to be activated. If your payment was received and is reflected on your BearTracks account for over 3-4 business days, please fill out the Contact Form, and our advisors will assist you further.

    Registration for Fall 2020 for new students opens on April 1, but you have until mid-September to choose and enroll in your classes. See here for more information about registration.

  • Application Deadlines
    Applications to the U of A are still open! Visit the Undergraduate Admission page for available programs and deadlines. Please note that the application must be submitted by 10:00 p.m. (MST) on the application deadline for each program.
  • AP, IB or GCE A-Levels Evaluation & Transfer Credits
    While AP/IB/GCE final exams have been cancelled or altered due to COVID-19, the university will accept an official transcript issued by the International Baccalaureate Organization, College Board and UK Awarding bodies (e.g., Pearson or Cambridge) as equivalent to a final transcript issued in previous years for the purposes of awarding transfer credit.
