Community Garden

The community garden at CSJ

For Campus Saint-Jean, the community garden is a prime example of sustainable development. The community garden was officially opened on June 8, 2006. This garden represents a collaboration between Campus Saint-Jean staff members, the Résidence Saint-Jean and residents within the Bonnie Doon neighbourhood. The garden has been partly subsidized by the City of Edmonton, Edmonton's Community Garden Network (now Sustainable Food Edmonton), Campus Saint-Jean, and the University at large. The garden is only fertilized with agricultural compost, considered organic as it contains no chemical additives.
