Health Care Aide

Admission Requirements

This program can only accept students with canadian citizenship or permanent residence. 

Applicants to the PSS program must meet the following two requirements :

French

Have successfully completed one of the following courses (or its equivalent in your province or country of origin) or diplomas: 

  • Français 20-1 ou 20-2
  • French 20
  • French language Arts 20-1 or 20-2
  • Or have successfully completed a diploma from an institution where the primary language of instruction is French. 

English

Demonstrate English fluency with the successful completion of one of the following courses (or its equivalent in your province or country of origin) or test scores :

  • A minimum grade of 60% in English Language Arts 20-1 or 20-2
  • A minimum score of 71 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Internet-Based Test (iBT) and a score of less than 20 on the individual test component. 
  • Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): a minimum score of 7.
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS): an overall minimum score of 6 and the score in any section must not be less than 5.5.
  • Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP): an overall minimum score of 7 and the score in any section must not be less than 6.

The HCA program is only available to canadian students (who have citizenship or permanent residence)
