Translational health research involves research that moves from benchside, to bedside, and community. Translational health research has a focus on improving both health outcomes, as well as health system outcomes.

Alberta Innovates Translational Health Chair in Community-Partnered Scholarship in Primary Care

Dr. Lee Green is the first recipient of the Alberta Innovates (AI) Translational Health Chair awarded for seven years in 2013 by Alberta Innovates. The goal of the Translational Health Chairs program is to address gaps, and build translational capacity, in Alberta's priority health research and innovation areas.

Enhancing Alberta Primary Care Research Networks (EnACt)

The EnACt group supports and enhances Alberta's existing practice-based research networks, as well as academic and community practitioners in Alberta to address gaps and build translational capacity within primary care research. Its mission is to support research in practice, and support research on practice. EnACt is funded by AI through the AI Translational Health Chair. EnACt is dedicated to engaged scholarship and projects are co-developed with the community of practice. EnACt assists both community and academic practitioners conducting primary care research across Alberta to develop ideas into projects and secure funding to conduct them.
