Collective Bargaining

The GSA began preparing for negotiations for the next Graduate Student Assistantship Collective Agreement (CA for short) in Fall 2021, with the CA set to expire in August 2022. The 2022-2024 CA was ratified by Academically-Employed Graduate Students (AEGS) in November 2022 and by the University Board of Governors in December 2022, and came into effect on 1 January 2023. 

Below you may find some of the updates provided by the GSA Negotiating Team (composed of three current members of the GSA Labour Relations Committee) during the negotiation process for the current CA.

  • Academically-Employed Graduate Students voted to approve the Bargaining Mandate on which the proposal is based on 21 December 2021.
