Peter Brindley, MD, FRCPC, FRCP (Edin), is first and foremost a critical care physician. He is a is a Professor of Critical Care Medicine, Adjunct Professor of Anesthesiology, and Adjunct Professor, John Dossetor Health Ethics Centre. His interests and publications centre on various aspects of resuscitation, including the importance of crisis management and human factors, the use of simulation, and practical insights that improve teamwork during acute care. Peter is a founding member of the Canadian Resuscitation Institute and its vice-chair. He is Western Canada’s representative for the Royal College of Edinburgh, and North American Ambassador for Continuous Medical Education. He was first visiting scholar for the Intensive Care Society of the UK. He is secretary of the Canadian Critical Care Society.Peter has 130 peer-reviewed manuscripts, 50 book chapters, and 70 other articles, including regular (>40) BMJ opinion pieces, regular book reviews for the journal Anesthesia and Analgesia (>15), a published poem and has been interviewed numerous times for TV and Newspapers. Has authored a text book and has another pending. Has presented to audiences in 15 countries during approximately 600 invited presentations (>200 plenaries) and 10 named lectures.  He is on organizing committee for World Congress of Critical Care (2021). He has following impact numbers: c itations >1700; h-index 20; i10-index 35; Twitter followers 3500.
