Physical Activity and Cancer Research

physical activity and cancer
Our faculty is focused on generating new knowledge with respect to how physical activity can help prevent cancer, mitigate the side effects of cancer treatments, enhance long term survivorship and quality of life, reduce the risk of disease recurrence, and improve survival.

Research being conducted at the Behavioural Medicine Laboratory seeks to advance the scientific understanding of the interrelationships among the behavioural, biological and psychosocial aspects of physical activity and cancer.
