Accessing AHS Data

The data within AHS can be made available for research purposes under certain terms and conditions, and can be accessed either by data extraction (done by an AHS data analyst) or by direct access to an AHS IT system.

Data Management and Sharing (DMS) Policy

NIH has issued the Data Management and Sharing (DMS) policy to promote the sharing of scientific data. NIH expects that investigators and institutions plan and budget for the managing and sharing of data, and submit a DMS plan when applying for funding.

High-performance computing (HPC) in a secure environment for health data. This helps researchers to meet the privacy and security requirements of health information custodians, thus enabling appropriate access to health data for research.

Behind-the-scenes maintenance and front-line training for research computing on campus is all delivered by IST’s Research Computing group. The team supports integration to both the expertise held within IST and to larger groups of research computing experts

WCHRI

REDCap is a secure, web-based application for building and managing online databases. Training sessions typically cover introductory content, but may have a different theme session to session. Drop-in sessions provide an informal opportunity to ask questions.
