Sustainability Awareness Week
Sustainability Awareness Week has been one of the University of Alberta's largest event series since it launched in 2008. The whole campus community gets involved in highlighting campus sustainability initiatives, social and environmental issues, and building connections beyond campus. Events include very popular walking tours, hands-on workshops, speaker panels, film screenings and explorations of local food.
October 26-30, 2020
This year, we will capture the essence of what makes Sustainability Awareness Week a success as we move online. Each day features a favourite presenter from past years, including U of A EcoCar and the HealthNuts Cooking Workshop.
And for the first time, we present a series of panels highlighting sustainability connections to the University of Alberta's Signature Research Areas. This is your chance to learn about cutting-edge research from graduate students in renewable energy, AI, critical theory and environmental sociology.
