WISEST Wins Community Connections Award

Bringing people of diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences together to create a community that supports, celebrates, and equips individuals to succeed in STEM is why we exist. Our mandate is outward-focused: it’s community-centric. We are constantly imagining new and innovative ways to engage with the broader community.

To be recognized as the 2020 Community Connection Community Leader Award is very gratifying and affirming. To be appreciated for the work we do by the greater University of Alberta community is significant to our “small but mighty” team. This recognition reminds us that the work we do does not go unnoticed and provides another layer of motivation to continue to pioneer in the area of EDI in STEM, building on our over 40-year legacy.
