Welcome to the Alumni Community

You're joining a community of more than 300,000 grads. Learn how you can benefit from your newly minted alumni status.

For more than a century, alumni have inherited the spirit of our founders, who imagined the U of A as an open laboratory of ideas and action: a place that gives us the courage to try anything. To arrive as one person and to leave as someone else. To learn, to try, to seek truth and to solve problems with quiet confidence. To become change makers and world shapers. To always be looking forward, and to never be satisfied with the ‘now.’ That spirit of building solutions together, for the greater good, lives on in our alumni.

The community you join today will support your ongoing success, as it has done for generations, and continue to guide your path of leading with purpose.

U of A alumni have addressed global challenges and improved lives for people across the globe and for those right next door. U of A grads have led breakthroughs in every sector, built industries, created communities and been leaders at every level. They enrich the social and cultural lives of communities.

Globally, U of A alumni have founded more than 75,000 companies that contribute $250 billion to the global economy and employ 922,000 people worldwide. Of those, 560,000 people are in Alberta and make up more than 22% of the province’s total workforce. And 65% of grads are committed to careers that make substantial contributions to the social and economic welfare of the wider public, including grads who improve health, well-being and safety ; promote social and cultural inclusion; advance equality and opportunity.

Your role in this community starts by staying connected with other alumni and with the university throughout your lifetime.

Together, we can uphold the promise to lead with purpose.
