Deborah Willis's first book, Vanishing and Other Stories (Penguin, 2009) was nominated for the BC Book Prize and the Governor-General's Award, and was named one of the Globe & Mail's Best Books of 2009. Her fiction has appeared in Grain, Prism International, Event, and The Walrus.
Alice Munro has written of Willis's work: "The emotional range and depth of these stories, the clarity and deftness is astonishing."
