Exam Standardized Patients and Health Professionals

As the COVID-19 situation in Canada and abroad continues to evolve rapidly, the decisions regarding the administration of the spring exams are continually changing. We will continue to communicate the status of the remaining exams through our website.

Licensure/Assessment Examination consists of a series of stations based on presentations of clinical scenarios. Including stations where the candidates' clinical skills are evaluated by examiners as they perform interviews, treatments, or examinations on standardized patients. HSERC Site Administrators assist in the recruitment and vetting of eligible standardized patients and Health Professionals in collaboration with the Exam Board.

Exam Standardized Patients

Standardized Patient Program (SPP) is currently recruiting for exams. A Standardized Patient (SP) is a lay person who has been trained to accurately and consistently portray an actual patient at a particular point in time; the SP presents with the patient's history, personality, physical finding, emotional structure and response pattern.

Exam Health Professionals

SPP is looking for Health Professionals to work high stakes and large-scale licensure exams. Accepting applications year-round, the SPP continually recruits individuals from a variety of health professions.
