Deadlines

There are two intakes per year, in the Fall and Winter semesters. The application deadlines are:

  • October 1 (Winter semester)
  • May 1 (Fall semester)

Applications must be complete (including reference letters) by the deadlines listed above in order to be considered. References are not contacted to complete referee forms until after the application is submitted, so applications should be submitted as early as possible.

At minimum, students must have completed an undergraduate degree prior to entering the MatCH program. The program requires a grade point average equivalent to 3.5 on a 4.0 scale based on the last 60 course credits, or the most recent two years of coursework. Admission GPAs will be calculated using a weighted average calculation to determine program eligibility. Adjudication is completed by the MatCH Program Coordinators, and applications are evaluated based on personal statement, GPA, reference letters, and research experience. Applications submitted prior to the deadlines will not be adjudicated until the deadline has passed.

Students are strongly discouraged from applying to the MatCH Program if they are planning to apply to a professional program (i.e. medicine) in the next two years. Timely completion of degrees is a condition of the Office of the Provost funding.
