Health Innovation Hub in collaboration with the University of Alberta Library and Edmonton Public Library organized the second event, part of our 𝗜𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, focused on 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀 in April 2022.

We walked through a case study for an assistive technology hand prosthesis to highlight the journey of starting a venture and showcased how resources such as 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 can support the entrepreneurs on this journey. In Conversation - Library Resources and Research for Entrepreneurs 

The Health Innovation Hub organized our second event in the In Conversation series: Library Resources and Research for Entrepreneurs in February, 2022. This collaborative partnership with the Edmonton Public Library and the University of Alberta Library featured Céline Gareau-Brennan, Colleen Andriats and Holly Arnason. The one-hour session provided info about tips and tricks to boost business research, specific web resources freely accessible from the Edmonton Public Library's website with a library card, and an overview of the services and equipment available at the Edmonton Public Library Makerspace. Information session - Business Development Support (BDS) Program

We had our first 𝗜𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 event in December, 2021 where Paramita Chaudhuri Basu, PhD MBA discussed the Business Development Support (BDS) Program with Chloe Chalmers, Head Scaleup Edmonton, Innovate Edmonton. The conversation focused on the BDS program and its differentiators from the other programming support available in the Alberta innovation ecosystem, the application process, matching entrepreneurs with subject matter experts and more. 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲.

Open House and Networking with Health and Life Science Companies at the Hub

Health Innovation Hub brought together a panel of entrepreneurs Jana Rieger True Angle, Jalene Anderson-Baron Future Fields, Colin Coros Nanostics Inc. and key opinion leaders Deborah E. James, PhD, Lawrence Richer, Arden Tse Yaletown Partners, Quang Tran as a part of our virtual event "𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙃𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙉𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙃𝙪𝙗" in October 2021 during the Edmonton Startup Week. The panel, moderated by Tony Briggs discussed the different assets and resources that are available to health and life science entrepreneurs and how the Health Hub & Accelerator helps to access these resources.
