Dr. Garry Drummond was recently recognized by the University of Alberta for 30 years of outstanding service. Over the years, Dr. Drummond has championed the development of the pediatric ophthalmology service at the U of A hospital and subsequently the Stollery Children's Hospital. He rendered outstanding care to an ever increasing population of pediatric patients for many years and the Department is very grateful for this contribution. Dr. Drummond also served as Director of Undergraduate as well as Postgraduate Medical Education and has received many teaching awards for his remarkable educational endeavors. He continues to be involved in residency teaching during the pediatric rotation and we hope he will remain involved for many years to come.
