Date of Incorporation

On May 9, 1906 the Act to Establish and Incorporate a University for the Province of Alberta received Royal Assent. This is considered the incorporation date. The first day of classes were on Sept. 23, 1908. The university is bound by the Government of Alberta's Post-Secondary Learning Act.
