Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour

Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour is the co-founder of WISEST. She was the first appointed Associate Dean of Science for Diversity at the University of Alberta and served in this position until her peaceful passing in 2019. Throughout her life, she worked as a tireless advocate for advancing gender inclusivity in STEM and was among the first to recognize the need to fix gender-biased systems. As a champion of diversity, she believed in the inalienable right that everyone has to fulfill their own potential.

Dr Margaret-Ann Armour est la cofondatrice de WISEST. Elle a été la première Doyenne associée des sciences pour la diversité à l'Université de l'Alberta et a occupé ce poste jusqu'à son décès paisible en 2019. Tout au long de sa vie, elle a travaillé comme défenseure infatigable de l'avancement de l'inclusion des genres dans les domaines sciences, ingénierie, technologie et mathématiques. Elle a été parmi les premières à reconnaître la nécessité de remédier aux systèmes sexistes. En tant que championne de la diversité, elle croyait au droit inaliénable de chacun de réaliser son propre potentiel.
