Welcome to Dr Cristina Stasia

We extend a warm welcome to Dr Cristina Stasia, who is joining the Department as a fulltime faculty member for 2014/5. Cristina holds a PhD in English from Syracuse University (2011). Her teaching and research interests include third wave and postfeminism, girlhood studies, film studies, feminist cultural studies, and masculinity/femininity in popular culture. She is an award-winning teacher, having recently won both the Contract Instructor Teaching Award and the William Hardy Alexander Awards for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching. In 2014/15, Dr Stasia will teach a full slate of courses, including, in the fall, a new WGS 498 course entitled "Girlhood Studies."
