About us
Augustana Chaplaincy is an integral part of the student experience. Rooted in the Lutheran tradition, it is ecumenical in scope as it accompanies the community on a journey of educating the whole person - body, mind and spirit.
Students of all faiths and those with no faith background are welcome to be a part of and contribute to the Chaplaincy program.
Chaplaincy at Augustana has three components:
- It provides community building activities for all.
- It upholds multi-faith celebrations. Students are encouraged to contact the Chaplaincy team if there is a tradition of any spirituality that they would like to see celebrated on campus.
- It provides a place of Christian worship and community.
We extend a warm welcome to all students and uphold a safe space for all sexual orientations and gender identities to be celebrated.

What’s Cookin’ Soup Supper 2023
Date: Sunday, March 5, 2023
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Location: Augustana Chapel
Who is My Neighbour?
Jesus, through the story of the Good Samaritan, reframes the lawyer’s question to ask, What does it mean to act as a neighbour?
Save The Date! For Augustana Chaplaincy Council’s annual fundraiser. We are aiming to raise $12,500 this year. These dollars are used to support the chaplaincy program at the University of Alberta, Augustana Campus in Camrose. This program enables us to fund the services of a Chaplain (Rev. Craig Wentland) and several student chaplains (7 fantastic, committed, outgoing young adults) whose presence on the campus of Augustana provides support to the whole student body. Please plan to join us for this important event.
