Scholarships

Students who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply for the following scholarships. Selections are typically based on academic standing and demonstrated exceptional leadership, but factors such as financial need, residency, extracurricular activities, and/or previous award funding may also be taken into account.

JLL Women in Real Estate Scholarship
Awarded to a student who is a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident identifying as a female with superior academic achievement in Real Estate Principles (BUEC 454/610). Selection based on academic standing in the course.
David McDougall BCom Scholarship in Real Estate

Conditions: Awarded to students with superior academic achievement enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree at the Alberta School of Business. Selection based on academic standing and demonstrated excellence in the real estate curriculum.

Preference: Given to students enrolled in the Real Estate Principles class.

David McDougall MBA Scholarship in Real Estate
Program requirements: Registered full time or part time in an MBA program. Selection based on academic achievement and demonstrated excellence in the real estate curriculum.

Preference: Given to students with a real estate area of focus.
Avison Young Commercial Real Estate Graduating Scholarship in Marketing

Awarded annually to a student who is convocating from the Bachelor of Commerce program. The award is made to a student with a specialization in Marketing. Preference is given to (a) a student completing a course in Real Estate Management, (b) superior academic achievement and (c) involvement in extra-curricular activities preferably within the University.

Barry Petursson Award in Real Estate

Awarded to a student with a GPA of 3.0 or greater enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree at the Alberta School of Business. Selection based on academic standing and demonstrated excellence in real estate curriculum.

Annually funded by Anthem Properties Group Ltd. & Alberta Teachersé Retirement Fund.

Oxford Properties/PCL Scholarship in Real Estate and Development

Awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing entering the third or fourth year or completing the fourth year of study in the Alberta School of Business who is planning to pursue a career in the development and/or construction industry. Selection based on academic standing and demonstrated interest in the development and/or construction industry.

The SIOR Foundation Award in Real Estate Development

Awarded to students with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree at the Alberta School of Business. Selection based on academic standing and demonstrated excellence in Real Estate Development. Preference given to students who are first-generation learners.

Awarded to students with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree at the Alberta School of Business. Selection based on academic standing and demonstrated excellence in Real Estate Asset Strategies. Preference given to students who are first-generation learners.
