Wellness Wednesdays
Wellness Wednesday is a free 50 minute workshop. Sessions are drop-in and are free for students and staff/faculty. Our goal is to raise student awareness on various healthy living practices and general wellness topics. These classes often involve a classroom component and physical activity/movement. Be prepared to move. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. Enjoy some free snacks to recharge for the day and win some CCR swag!
These are drop in sessions. No registration required. Due to room capacity limits, participants will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Remember to bring your OneCard!

Wellness Wednesday - How to Get Started

Starting out at the gym or trying a new workout routine can be intimidating. Start the semester strong and join us as we go over the basics on how to become a healthier and happier you! Learn about What to do and what NOT to do, and how to stay committed to your workout goals. This session will include a self reflection exercise, a mini workout, and some snacks to take on the go!
Wellness Wednesday - Self Compassion at the Gym

Don't feel the need to "unleash the beast" every time you go to the gym. In this Wellness Wednesday we will chat about the misconception of needing to profusely sweat during a workout for it to be worthwhile and change your mindset of “I have to go to the gym” to “ I choose to go to the gym"! This session will include a self reflection exercise, mini workout, and some snacks to take on the go!
Wellness Wednesday - Take a "PAWS" from Exam Stress

Exam season is a particularly stressful time for students. Take a “PAWS” from exam stress and learn how to clear your headspace while trying some basic yoga postures and mediation. After sampling some yoga and meditation, enjoy the free yogurt bar and sample a variety of nutritious and delicious toppings!
