Sexual violence is a complex and serious problem in society and on university campuses. Sexual violence can affect individuals of all gender identities, gender expressions, and sexual orientations, as well as those from all ages, abilities, racial, cultural and economic backgrounds.
It is the policy of the University of Alberta that sexual violence committed by any member of the University community is prohibited and constitutes misconduct.
The following information serves as a resource for the University community to better understand sexual violence on campus and the supports available to both individuals who have experienced sexual violence and individuals supporting them. Information on this website does not replace the formal policy, procedures, or information documents of the Sexual Violence Policy Suite.
