Muneeb Masood Raja

2023-2024 Term

Biography:

Muneeb was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan and obtained his undergraduate degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). Following his graduation, Muneeb pursued a master’s degree in electrical engineering at Wright State University in the United States. Subsequently, he worked as a faculty member at NUST for three years, during which he engaged in teaching undergraduate students and overseeing a full batch of undergraduates as a mentor and coordinator. Currently, Muneeb is in the third year of his PhD program in Electrical and Computer Engineering, where his research is focused on developing advanced conventional and data-driven control and fault diagnosis techniques for power converters.

Resume:

Having demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership over his career, Muneeb is seeking out opportunities to not only further his own personal growth but also to contribute to the development of his peers. As a faculty member at NUST, Muneeb has been a coordinator for a batch of undergraduate students for three years. He has had the opportunity to help students navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with pursuing a degree and protect their rights. Through one-on-one meetings, group discussions, and workshops, Muneeb has provided guidance and support to his mentees, helping them develop the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve their goals. This experience has allowed Muneeb to develop a strong relationship with students, learn about their unique backgrounds and experiences, and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges that students face and ways to solve them. This is Muneeb’s first term as Associate Vice-President Labour with the GSA.
