Tiffany Kung

2023-2024 Term

Biography:

Tiffany is a third year PhD student in the Department of Psychology. She completed her BSc in Neuroscience at the University of Alberta in 2020, during which she had the opportunity to research septum development, retinal maturation, nociception, and stroke. Currently, Tiffany studies rodent models of intracerebral hemorrhage with a focus on how to mitigate brain swelling and improve outcomes in stroke patients.

Resume:

Tiffany has served as the Co-chair of the Psychology department's students association since 2020. This position allowed her to connect with students across the university, and gave her experience in advocating for student rights. She also previously served on FGSR council, giving her applicable experience working within the University's infrastructure. As an intersectional student, she is passionate and motivated about improving the quality of life for marginalized students. This is Tiffany's first term as Vice-President Student Life with the GSA.
