Advisory Committee

Purpose

The Advisory Committee fosters research in aging and quality of life and acts as a bridge between the Research Chair and relevant community stakeholders. The responsibilities of the Advisory Group include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • To recommend strategies for the building of research capacity for researchers;
  • To provide advice and guidance to the Director of the research unit to ensure strategic goals, and objectives are achieved;
  • To identify relevant issues and opportunities for the Research Unit at local, regional, provincial, and national levels;
  • To foster linkages for research with potential partners from the university/college sector, governments, community organizations and relevant community stakeholders; and,
  • To facilitate dissemination and promotion of Research Unit accomplishments and activities.
