Caregiver Toolkit

 

The Caregiver Toolkit offers a 'one-stop shop' of evidence-informed resources for those working with caregivers, either directly or indirectly. It has been developed by the BC Psychogeriatric Association with a contribution from the Government of Canada. These resources are designed to be used by a diversity of front line workers, program managers, policy analysts, administrators, health educators, advocates and anyone interested in strengthening caregiver resiliency through service provision and policy development to address caregiver needs across Canada. The primary resources, the Caregiver Policy Lens and the Service Provider Resource Guide, are supported with additional resources on the website and can be downloaded.

Discovery Toolkit - Supporting Family Caregivers of Seniors

This toolkit is for healthcare providers and various stakeholders who support family caregivers. It contains tools for learning and discussion including summaries, slide presentations, handouts, and suggested resources.

Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence - Dementia Online Series

This FREE online series is composed of four self-paced learning modules focusing on specific stages of dementia. The series was developed through funding provided by Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust, the John A. Hartford Foundation, and the Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence at Arizona State University College of Nursing and Health Innovation. The aim of the series is to enhance nursing faculty knowledge and skills in the development and implementation of gerontological nursing standards and teaching strategies in pre-licensure education. In addition, this series may be used in the practice setting to enhance healthcare providers' knowledge and skills related to the care of older adults with dementia.
