Eliza Pan

AB, JD

Eliza participated in the WISEST Summer Research Program (SRP) in 2010 and is now a health care lawyer in Boston. Her interest in integrating law and science stemmed in part from her SRP experience. During her summer at the Meanook Biological Research Station, she not only gained firsthand experience with renewable energy and wetland protection projects but also developed broader interests in research and in environmental and health sciences. While attending Harvard University and Yale Law School, Eliza studied the intersection of anthropogenic climate change and international migration. She also fostered conversations about food security as Co-President of the Yale Food Law Society and worked with the San Francisco City Attorney's Office on public health matters. Eliza is grateful for her WISEST experience and is excited to see how SRP shapes the personal and professional development of future participants.
