Dr. Lei Sun
Dr. Lei Sun, born in China, is a genetics statistician and Professor of Biostatistics of Dalla Lana School of Public Health and the Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Toronto. She develops statistical methods and computational tools to solve problems arising from genetic studies of complex human traits such as cystic fibrosis and diabetes. She won the prestigious CRM-SSC Prize in Statistics in 2017 recognizing her professional accomplishments within the first fifteen years of earning her doctorate.
