Dr. Malabika Pramanik
Dr. Malabika Pramanik, born in West Bengal, India, is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of British Columbia and has won numerous awards including the Ruth I. Michler Memorial Prize (2015), and the Krieger-Nelson Prize (2016) which recognizes her incredible contributions to the field of math. She studies harmonic analysis, complex variables and partial differential equations. In addition to her research, she is a huge advocate for diversity and inclusion through her involvement with the Canadian Mathematical Society, and the Pacific Institute for Mathematical Sciences.
