High school students explore nanotechnology

Professor Jillian Buriak and other researchers teach high school students about nanotechnology.

Ryan Heise - 24 February 2012

Over a hundred high school students from around Edmonton learned about nanotechnology and leading-edge research during the second annual Let's Talk NanoScience event at the U of A. The event was put on by the Let's Talk Science U of A chapter and the U of A Nanotechnology Group, with support from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science, and the National Institute for Nanotechnology. Students had the opportunity to hear lectures, tour various campus facilities, and create gold nano particles.
