Safety Day

The University of Alberta will host Safety Day on May 8. Safety Day is a new university initiative as part of the Culture of Care: Safety Action Plan that provides faculty and staff an opportunity to participate in a university-wide conversation on safety. This one-day event will be facilitated by leaders and will contextualize the importance of safety within each respective work environment.

Join Safety Day 2024 and be part of activities such as:

• A supervisor and principal investigator (PI) guided safety self-assessment starting May 8.
• Safety and a Pastry event with Health, Safety and Environment. Chat about training, resources and the services we provide, or discuss incidents and some lessons we've learned as an institution. Register now.
• Scavenger hunt for safety. A fun competition with learning and prizes.
• Your local HSE committee may be hosting tabling events in your area. Contact your HSE committee to see what events are occuring.
