This plan was developed by the UAlberta Museums and Collections Services in conjunction with University of Alberta Museums' curators and staff and in consultation with Chairs, Deans and with our community of students, researchers, and our communities. Progress and implementation is reflected in our Annual Reports 2016/2017, 2017/2018.

Business Case for the Curatorial Research Facility

In 2008, Museums and Collections Services / University of Alberta Museums in conjunction with the University of Alberta: Office of the University Architect developed a Business Case for a Curatorial Research Facility. This Case outlined the need for a purpose-built building on the University of Alberta north campus that would house the University of Alberta's 29 museum collections in order to promote interdisciplinary research, a high level of museum leadership standard and community engagement on the University of Alberta campus.
