Nominations are due in the Spring/Summer term


  • Satisfactory Academic Standing (GPA of 2.7 or higher)
  • Nominee must show an active and ongoing interest in the fields of sexual health or sexual education
  • Selection based on academic accomplishment
  • Selection based on scholarly accomplishment
  • Examples of ongoing interest in the field can be evidenced by participation in SAR or similar professional conferences, taking courses in sexuality, scholarly or outreach activity in the field of study, etc.
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.

How to apply

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty) and will be part of a competitive adjudication. The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
