Eligibility

  • Department of Human Ecology at the University of Alberta
  • Nominee must be in the MSc or PhD program
  • Nominee's research must pertain to textile and apparel science
  • Selection based on high academic standing (GPA of 3.5 or greater)
  • If there is no appropriate nominee in textile and apparel science, the scholarship will be awarded to a PhD or MSc student in the broader areas of Textiles and Clothing
  • Preference will be given to a student specializing in Protective Clothing who has graduated from an undergraduate program in Human Ecology
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
