Eligibility

  • Superior Academic Standing (minimum grade point average equivalent to 3.5 on the University of Alberta grading scale)
  • Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation
  • Nominee can be entering any year of the Master of Science or PhD program
  • Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation - MSc or PhD
  • On the basis of academic achievement
  • Nominee must demonstrate interest and involvement in the area of enhancement of sport performance
  • Special consideration will be given to a nominee with an interest in nutrition, ergogenic aids, and sport performance
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.


How to apply

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
