Eligibility

  • Superior Academic Standing (minimum grade point average equivalent to 3.5 on the University of Alberta grading scale)
  • Department of Occupational Therapy, Department of Physical Therapy, or Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Nominee must be in the first year of a graduate degree program
  • Selected on the basis of superior academic standing
  • Preference will be given to nominees from Alberta or Saskatchewan
  • One scholarship per department (Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Communication Sciences and Disorders) will be awarded
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.


How to apply

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
