Eligibility

  • Master's or doctoral student in the Faculty of Education
  • Nominee must be pursuing advanced study in a field related to international and intercultural understanding
  • Relevant topics could include international human rights, political economy, citizenship education, and education promoting intercultural understanding
  • Awarded based upon the relevance and quality of the research proposal
  • Awarded based upon academic excellence
  • Awarded based upon letters of reference
  • No restriction on the number of years that an eligible nominee may be nominated to hold the scholarship
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.


How to apply

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
