Eligibility

  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Superior Academic Achievement.
  • Given to students whose research aligns with the current research portfolios of the WGRF.
  • Registered in a Master's program in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences.
  • Research into Plant Biosystems that fits with the WGRF research areas as posted on the WGRF website.
  • Students may hold the scholarship twice.
  • Based on academic achievement and research potential.


How to apply

By Nomination Only: Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty) and will be part of a competitive adjudication. The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
