Elizabeth French receives Outstanding Staff Award

Awarded by the Faculty of Arts to a staff member who has distinguished herself as providing outstanding administrative service

15 May 2014

We are pleased to announce that Elizabeth French has received a 2014 Faculty of Arts Outstanding Staff Award, which is given annually to a non-academic staff member "who has distinguished himself/herself as providing outstanding administrative or technical service to the Faculty."

As the Research Grant Administrator for the Departments of Linguistics, Philosophy, Women's & Gender Studies, and East Asian Studies, Elizabeth French performs a variety of tasks and proves to be an "invaluable resource." She was nominated for this award because among other things faculty can "rely absolutely on Elizabeth's wealth of university knowledge, efficient workflow, and resource management," while also being "aware of graduate and undergraduate student concerns." She is found to be an "extremely fair supporter of her peers, while giving very generously of her own time to everyone around her."

Congratulations, Elizabeth!
