The Department of Philosophy is pleased to announce that philosophy major Camilla Zhang has been awarded an Undergraduate Researcher Stipend. She obtains $5,000 from the university's Undergraduate Research Initiative to conduct a research under the supervision of Prof. Ingo Brigandt this summer. Her project "Can Biological Phenomena Be Explained in Virtue of Mathematics?" is to examine the role of mathematics in biology, in particular molecular systems biology.
