UAlberta Ambassador Program

Represent your school - become a UAlberta Ambassador!

Applications for the UAlberta Ambassador Program will open in early 2023. You may fill out this form to be contacted when applications open.

What is a UAlberta Ambassador?

UAlberta Ambassadors are student volunteers who help show past, present, and future members of the U of A community why our institution is a great place to be. They represent our university in a variety of ways, including leading in-person and virtual tours and assisting with in-person and virtual events.

Why become a UAlberta Ambassador?

The UAlberta Ambassador Program is a lot of fun, but it also provides a number of benefits and opportunities that will serve you throughout your university career and beyond:

  • Become more involved with your campus community.
  • Attend networking and social events, and gain lasting friendships.
  • Take advantage of professional development and leadership opportunities.
  • Enhance your public speaking and communication skills.
  • Join internal committees (Action Teams) to help plan and run ambassador events.

Ambassador Roles and Responsibilities

There are two types of positions within the UAlberta Ambassador Program:

  • Supporting Students: Help current and prospective students navigate the U of A experience. Share your insights on student life at the U of A with high school students and answer their questions using our new virtual platform, Unibuddy! Be a welcoming face in the Student Service Centre to support current students and guests with their needs.

Develop these skills via specialized virtual and in-person leadership training with your fellow Senior UAlberta Ambassadors.
