Congratulations to Mark Fulton and Hutch the Library Dog who have just been named 2020 Wellness Champions at the University of Alberta!

The Wellness Champions initiative recognizes and celebrates people (and dogs) on campus who are incorporating wellness into what they do, and who they are, and are making an impact on those around them by doing so. These Champions make the campus a better place, and that could not be more true of our very own Mark and Hutch.

Nancy Goebel, Head Librarian at the Augustana Library, had this to say of the award: Obviously, the Augustana Library staff could not be happier at this recognition of the contributions of Mark and Hutch. Mark shows up each day giving 100%, offering creative solutions and insights to all that he does. Hutch, offering love and support to everyone and clearly loving Mark, is dearly loved by everyone at Augustana. The "Hutch the Library Dog card service" is very popular on campus! Mark goes the extra mile to have Hutch at the Augustana Library assuring Hutch meets all Therapy Dog requirements to be at the library. Mark often comes to the library during closed hours to clean Hutch's space so it would be ready for Hutch to cuddle with everyone the next day!"

Congratulations on this much-deserved award!
