Green and Gold Adjudication Committee

Opportunity to Serve: Two (2) Graduate Students

The GSA Nominating Committee (GSA NoC) invites nominations from graduate students to fill the vacancy for two (2) graduate students appointed by the GSA on the Adjudication Committee for the Green and Gold Student Leadership and Professional Development Grant. The term of office for this position is one year, ending on 30 June 2020.

Nominations received will be circulated as submitted via email to the GSA NoC.

Purpose

"The purpose of the Green and Gold Student Leadership and Professional Development Grant (Green and Gold Grant) is to help U of A students become leaders in their profession following graduation.

This grant provides funding to participate in high impact professional development activities that will help students:

  • Expand and develop leadership and employability skills.

  • Explore future career opportunities.

  • Learn about professional practices in different cultures and contexts.

  • Establish networks vital to professional practice and advancement.

  • Reflect critically on their career interests and aspirations." (Green and Gold Grant Terms of Reference)




  • Meetings

    Adjudication Committee members will be required to attend training in July 2019. Grant adjudication will be conducted online after each of the deadlines of August 1, November 1, February 1, and May 1. Members will be required to attend a review meeting after each deadline's adjudication period has concluded.



    Should insufficient applications be received by the above deadline, the GSA NoC will commence a directed search process to fill remaining vacancies.
